Blue Blizzard is transparent to semi-opaque cobalt shot through with flecks of white glass “snow” that we make especially for the Blizzard colors. The white bits remain distinct, even after working the piece, and rough rods smooth out nicely in the flame. Should be worked in a neutral or oxidizing atmosphere to prevent graying. Blue Blizzard most resembles the stone Lapis Lazuli or old-fashioned speckled enamel-on-metal camping dishes.
